Set of 20 Dinner Plates Royal Crown Derby CARNATIONS 3237 Dinnerware Botanical. Very RARE Antique Royal Crown Derby Carnations pattern 3237. These are spectacular and very rare Antique Royal Crown Derby Dinner Plates. Pieces are date marked to 1899 and marked pattern number 3237 in iron red.
This pattern is of particular interest to the collector, the floral sprays composition, use of carnations and extra styling/Stippling of gilt is seldom seen in Royal Crown Derby porcelain. This pattern in part-service was last available via Christie's in 2004 with a single tureen documented between then and now.These plates are in remarkable and beautiful condition. This Beautiful Dinnerware is decorated throughout with pink, yellow, and orange/rust colored carnations; each flower is hand-painted and unique. The rims of each piece are gilded and have only minor wear. Some extra gilded detail has been stippled around the outer edges drawing attention to the moulded relief detailing as well as throughout the background.
The plates have scalloped rims. Date & Origin: Made at the Osmaston Road Factory in Derby in England, Most pieces date marked to 1899. Condition: Pieces are all in Excellent Condition. Gold trim is intact, and shows minimal to no wear on most pieces.
