Rare Coalport England Bone China Enamel Beading Set 12 Dinner Cabinet Plates

  

They are decorated with a very rich and intricate gilding pattern with a heavy gold edge trim that is beaded near the inside of that line. The outer rim, which is about 1.3" wide also has six equally spaced enameled teal "heart shapes with gold centers which are 1/2 and look to have had the blue poured in like molten blue lava. Equally spaced between each heart is the same color blue arrow motif. The inner rim and center of the plates have yet another gilded scroll pattern and then the inner 6 or so is left an elegant white.

This is one of the finest sets of cabinet or dinner plates I've ever seen and easily the nicest Coalport pattern I've ever come across. The scalloped and gilded outer edge give way to a very classy pattern which is beautifully punctuated by the enameled light blue hearts and arrows. Please see the photos for the best details. As for condition, there are no chips, cracks or crazing and for plates over 100 years old they are wonderful.

There is some light utensil wear to the surface and a few spots that have worn from the edge gilding, but overall just a beautiful set of twelve. They make a nice addition to your collection.
