C1900 Great set 8 Meissen Scattered Flowers Streublumen Dinner Plates
Presented is a lovely set of 8 Meissen porcelain dinner plates. The plates date to circa 1900 and are done in the Scattered Flowers or Streublumen pattern. The plates are white with beautifully hand painted floral decoration, in a veritable rainbow of vibrant colors. Each plate features a variety of flowers scattered against the white background. No two plates exactly alike.
All the decoration is hand painted in painstaking detail, with a great degree of skill. The plates have gently wavy rims, with a gilt edge.This set is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Each piece is marked on the underside with the Meissen crossed swords mark in underglaze blue.
Two of the pieces have the Meissen mark with a dot underneath. Each plate is about 9 3/4 inches in diameter. Weight: 9 lbs 10.7 oz (4386.1 grams). Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution.
