SET OF 5 DINNER PLATES 10 SHEPHERD'S PURSE IROQUOIS RUSSEL WRIGHT RARE. This set of 5 vintage mid-century modern 10 dinner plates was made by Iroquois China and designed by Russel Wright. It is clearly marked on the back. Circa 1961, it is a soft cinnamon or russet red color with white, yellow and tan floral design in the center. Designed in the authentic mid-century modern style, it is attractive and collectible.

The pattern, Shepherds Purse, is the name of the wildflower in the center of the plates and refers to the small purse shaped seed pods located under the blossoms. Russel Wright was a top American designer in the mid twentieth century. All items are insured and include signature confirmation.
