Brand new Pillivuyt charger plates 31cm diameter commissioned by the no longer existing UK importer Chomette (see stamp on back of plates). I have about 90 of these for sale if you are a restaurant or catering business interested in these. Happy to do a deal if you are interested in the lot. The plates are based on the Pillivuyt'valencay' range and are made from'Pillenium' porcelain, a type of Porcelain that is unique to Pillivuyt and allows items to be manufactured which are surprisingly thin yet many times more durable than'regular' porcelain. The'valencay' range is nearly identical to the'Sancerre' range by Pillivuyt except for the type of Porcelain used with'valencay' making it thinner/more durable. The charger plates in the listing will go well with dinnerware from the'Sancerre','Plisse','Paris','Valencay','Louna','Cecil' and'vendome' (round plates only) ranges. As with all their porcelain, Pillivuyt are one of the very few manufacturers producing a guaranteed lead and cadmium free product. They produce their own raw materials and also do regular lab testing as part of their production. Lead and cadmium may leach into the food when acidic things such as tomatoe sauce comes into contact with food.

Definitely something to avoid and I'd rather know my dinnerware is free of heavy metals than'within permitted values' as these metals accumulate in the body throughout ones' life and therefor even the tiniest amounts matter! Items bought Friday until Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. I tend to reuse packaging materials whenever it is possible.
