Fresh from a fabulous estate comes this stunning set of TWELVE. Scalloped and beaded 10 1/8 dinner plates made in England by Royal Crown Derby. The English Registry number of 161759 dates to 1890. The 1 1/2 wide pink bands are decorated with raised gold floral swags and a filigree inner ring. Bottom rims are also gilded. They were retailed at Phillip's of Oxford St. They're in superb antique condition with no chips, cracks, dings or crazing. There is some minor age-appropriate oxidation to the gilt paint, shown in detail.
A couple of plates have cabinet paint transfer to the bottom rims. There is a red ink pattern number of 3941, but I was unable to find anything in my research. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. THE FINE PRINT : Most of the items I sell come from estate/yard sales, flea markets, etc. Accordingly, they most always will show some signs of use.I try diligently to well describe each item I sell.
